Whole and Worthy: A Sacred Return to Self
By Toyia Miller-Peters, LCSW | RESTORE Her Wellness
There is a sacred truth I want you to hold onto—you were born whole, and you’ve always been worthy. In a world that demands you shrink, prove, and perform, this truth often gets buried under the weight of roles, expectations, and unresolved wounds. But wholeness isn’t something you earn. It’s something you remember.
At RESTORE Her Wellness, we believe healing is not just about addressing what’s broken—but reclaiming what’s been buried: our softness, our intuition, our joy, our rest. To be whole is not to be perfect. It is to be present, rooted, and restored.
The Myth of “Not Enough”
Too often, we internalize the belief that our worth is tied to what we do—how hard we hustle, how much we give, or how well we carry the weight without complaint. Especially for Black women, the “strong Black woman” narrative has glorified suffering in silence. But strength without softness is survival, not healing. And you deserve more than survival.
Wholeness says:
"Even with my cracks, I am complete. Even in my softness, I am strong. Even when I pause, I am powerful."
A Sacred Return
Coming home to yourself is not selfish—it is sacred. It is the audacity to:
Say no without guilt.
Choose rest over burnout.
Feel fully without shame.
Prioritize your peace over their comfort.
At RESTORE Her, we invite you to return—back to your body, your breath, your inner knowing. Through practices like sound healing, womb energy work, breathwork, and sacred sisterhood, we co-create spaces where women can lay it all down and rise in softness and strength.
Practices for Remembering Your Worth
Here are a few sacred practices to help you reconnect with your wholeness:
Affirm aloud: “I am enough as I am. I honor my story, and I reclaim my joy.”
Create space to feel: Let the tears fall if they need to. Crying is not weakness—it’s release.
Prioritize joy: Find moments of pleasure in the small things. A cup of tea. A deep breath. A belly laugh.
Breathe with intention: Inhale: I am whole. Exhale: I release what no longer serves me.
You Are Not Alone
Healing isn’t linear, and you don’t have to journey alone. Our community is here to remind you: You are held. You are seen. You are already enough.
Whether you’re joining one of our Mindful Escape sound meditations, sipping and sharing in Sip, Savor & Restored Conversations, or simply taking a quiet moment to yourself—know that you are always welcome here.
You are whole. You are worthy. You are already everything you’ve been seeking.
Welcome home to yourself.
